Video GadgetCast No.1

GadgetCast No.1 features Dusty Rhodes defending his new Creative Zen VisionM against the iPod loving Alex French, (both of them having great faces for podcasting!).

Apologies for some sound probs here and there, but we will get better!

I think Dusty misses the point about the iPod when he criticises it for being too restrictive. Like a number of other Apple products, the iPod just one component of a wider system, in this case iTunes.

Apple's strength has always been the seamless integration between its hardware and software, and the iPod is no different. The Creative is a standalone player that is independent of any prescribed desktop software package.

So saying that the iPod is restrictive because it doesn't work outside of iTunes is a bit like criticising Macs for not running Windows software. (Tho' that looks like it is possible now...)

I suppose the choice between iPod or Creative all depends on what you want to do with your player.
